The Socially Distanced paintings were made as a reaction to the stop of the world necessitated by the danger of the spread of the Coronavirus. They are painted over canvases that had previous starts on them. Much like the pandemic, the paintings in this series just overtook everything else that was going on. At this point, he has 30 paintings in the series - one for each day in April. He may extend it further, but has exhausted his inventory of partially painted canvases. His artistic influences for his Social Distanced Series are Robert Motherwell, Gary Komarin, Hans Hoffman, and Jasper Johns.
