Abstract Landscape 29 was painted from reference photos taken with his DJI quad-drone. He blended several photos to make the composition. The intention was to make an abstract painting using overhead photos shot from altitude. He was inspired by Hans Hoffman's theory that all abstract painting is grounded in the real.
